I was pleasantly surprised that the quality is quite decent vs the price point. The overall length is 16-1/4”; 8-1/2” high (with hook) and each ring measures just shy of 3” (interior). I appreciate that the hook can swivel—if I’m in a hurry I can hang it places beyond a closet rod. It’s coated in a non-slip ‘soft touch” material called ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). While ABS isn’t ideal for things like food safety and it certainly causes a hazard if burned, it still has far fewer concerns than many other familiar household products. It has a rubber-like feel and is nice and substantial.The hanger has certain limitations in terms of volume and variety of storage—obviously you cannot place a bulky woolen scarf on one end and a slim silk one on the other. Major tipping happens. If you want to hang a wider variety of scarf types, the 12 or 16 ring versions are better (or opt for the pricier single rings). But I don’t fret about an imbalance issue because I merely needed something inexpensive to keep a collection of my most frequently used skinny scarves and neckerchiefs. If I eventually want to switch things up, I’ll just place a heavier scarf in the center hole and leave it there for stability. But ultimately this is more of a ‘hang tomorrow’s accessories’ piece than the storage solution the listing describes. If you like to prep and organize your outfit the night before, it’s ideal…Because there’s also 5 notches along the top where a belt or jewelry can be hung; the notches alternate (3 are on the ‘back’ and 2 are on the ‘front’) which is a neat feature because it provides a bit more separation and balance than if all the notches were lined up only along one side.I’m glad I bought this. My shortest and slickest scarves don’t slip out of it, it has a nice clean look, is safe for a variety of delicate textiles, and it’s a time saver for me. I recommend it for what it is. For winter weight scarves (which don’t comfortably fit in a 3” ring) and for hardcore storage, one single 5-ring hanger can’t cut it. But for a valet piece, a nicely unisex one at that, I love it!
