I've been looking for an infrared night vision and adventure camcorder at several locations in my area including St Albans Sanatorium. It records digital video at the highest level, allowing more raw data to be processed. It's also a great camera and camcorder in any light, whether it's cloudy, sunny or foggy. There are different modes like normal, slow, cyclic. Recording, time lapse. Photos are set to different modes like Normal, Continuous or Interval. There are three ways to operate the camera/camcorder: touch screen, camera buttons and remote control. Also included are a lens cap, lens hood, external grip and external microphone that attaches to the hot shoe. The picture quality is excellent. It uses an SDHC memory card up to 128 gigabytes. These are two battery packs that charge inside the camcorder. Battery life is decent, around 1.5 hours. The camcorder can be mounted on a tripod; However, the outside handle is not designed to be mounted on a tripod. The outside handle can be held at the top or vertical end. If the memory card is replaced, it needs to be repaired as the slot is on the bottom of the camcorder. The built-in microphone is decent but prone to wind noise. The external microphone is much better and the sensitivity can be adjusted. It has a cover to reduce wind noise. It attaches to the hot shoe mount. The touchscreen is responsive and the controls are intuitive. The camcorder is very light and very small for maximum portability. like a ghost hunt (with excellent night vision skills).
