They're not going to pass for linen (hence the "faux" in the title) - and I wasn't expecting them to. The zippers and seams aren't the strongest, so I recommend care and patience when inserting the pillow. Also, not sure about the other colors (I ordered black), but these do have a slight sheen to them. I ordered them for a daybed in our guest room. If I needed covers for a more high traffic area (that would require I wash them more often), I would probably spring for real linen - or a higher quality cover. I don't trust that these would hold up to multiple washings. But for my needs, these covers worked out perfectly. The price was very reasonable for a set of four. No regrets, here! :-)
