Works after driver installation. Added a total of 2 USB 3 females to allow 4 USB 3 ports. One star deducted because the driver installation was a royal PIA. Don't try for a complete novice. If you want to add a card, plug it in, and let Windows search for a driver, this isn't for you. Windows 7 computer, no idea how W10 handles the card. I needed a Renesas uPD720201 or uPD720202 host controller driver to make the card work. I'm not sure which one actually worked. I installed and reinstalled both a few times and restarted the computer a few times and suddenly it worked. My skill. Better call it an advanced beginner, but by no means old hat. I'm someone a friend can call and have a better chance of fixing your computer before you break down and pay someone.😉
