I bought this in a large size for my 9 year old who is about 4ft 5in tall. He was a little big. It hits his hips, not his waist, and I'm a bit long too. I left the sweatshirt, thinking that sooner or later he would use the middle one. The middle one is the same size as the big one. The sleeves are maybe half a centimeter shorter and the length could be the same. Both sizes are exactly the same It's a great sweatshirt so will be keeping both, not sure if I'll try the small one now kids grow up so fast.
