Everything seems fine. The screws are probably too long.

Easy install on 2018 Suzuki Vstrom 1000. The handlebar fits well but the 'flat' parts can be slightly shorter to increase the distance between the clamps. The bolts were too long, which is better than short ones. There's nothing shorter, so just cut it off. My collars are not pierced or stuffed. If you have such, then there are no problems with long screws.
