I've been playing around with entry-level indoor drones for many years. I've always liked UDI drones for their durability and ease of control. This little thing is the best drone for kids and beginners I've ever tried. One of the most unique and best things about this drone is that it is SLOW (excruciatingly slow for advanced users). But for beginners or kids, this is the perfect training drone. It has 3 speed settings, the slowest of which allows you to glide smoothly through space. Medium and high speeds never reach the pace of other mini drones in this class, but the speed is ideal for beginners. And for a drone in this low price range, it has some great specs. This mini has a headless mode, automatic takeoff and landing; both work great. Altitude hold is good considering this little guy doesn't have any external sensors. The build quality is exactly what I expected. It's durable, lightweight, with non-removable screw guards and a non-removable battery. UDI states a flight time of 8 minutes, but I have a little over 6 minutes of continuous flight, which is not bad. The battery is permanently installed, the charging time is about 30 minutes, but two are enough for such a good and cheap drone. more solid and substantial than others I've had. It's simple and easy to use, and the instruction manual (with weird translation and fine print) does a good job of showing you how to calibrate and set up, and then fly. This mini drone is my new indoor favorite. And I will get one for my 7 year old godson before I let him play with the phantom. Well done UDI. You made the slowest drone ever, which is awesome.
