Review on πŸ”¨ Contractor Straight C24 Tool by Emerson by Scott Tompkins

works for a while and then crashes.

As another reviewer said, it worked for a while. By that I mean just a few abbreviations. Then the clamp just slips. I have the longer one, 96 inches, and it still seems to be holding up. This is a design flaw and I think short clips are more prone to fail faster. a smooth rod that runs underneath for its entire length and is pulled by a spike with a cam. Underneath are three slanted metal rods with holes in them that hold a plastic clip. The lever cam pulls the bar, the bars should lock the bar and tighten the clamp. This has been working for a while. The problem is that the bars don't clamp well on the bar and the cam causes the bars to drag on the bar a bit. which is likely to blunt the sharp edge on the bar. kernel. There is not enough friction between the bars and the bar, there is no spring play in the system other than the small plastic parts themselves, and the cam is too big. This is bad design. If it were built with springs holding the rods in place, and if the rod was plain steel instead of plated and the cam could be replaced with a handle and threaded rod, maybe it would work better. The rod section works great. It would be great if they fixed the design of the clamp.
