Bent pieces, misaligned spots, bad instructions

- The desks are huge, considerably larger than my husband and I should have gotten for our space, but that's on my poor measuring tape usage. Or bad reading comprehension.- The PC under-desk piece is narrower than advertised by about 1/2 inch on both desks, just enough to make our desktop computers not fit properly.- The directions made Ikea look informative, though I managed to figure them out. Mostly. They were also very small and hard to read. I wear glasses and needed to pull out a magnifying glass. HOWEVER: the desks were overall easy enough to assemble. I did two in under 5 hours with no assistance.- One of the braces came bent, so I had to replace the screw that was supposed to be used with a longer screw from the spare parts they sent, and that seems to have worked fine.- The tops on both desks were misaligned in some places and required lots of finagling and adjustment of the frame. DO NOT tighten the frame until the tops are on, that will make the end job a lot easier. There are some gaps we could not get rid of between the boards, even with hefty finagling, and one of the desks we could not fully attach because even loosening the frame it was too mis-aligned to get the screws in.- They look pretty good and feel fairly sturdy, though not heavy/solid; we added little felt slider-feeties and that made them very easy to rotate around and play with the layouts before we attached the tops.
