Review on πŸ”Œ USB Surge Protector Outlet Extender BESHON, 6 Outlet Power Strip with 3 USB Charging Ports (including 1 USB-C Port), 490J Electrical Outlet Expander with Phone Holder for Home, Office, and Hotel by Kyle Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Handy size, useful options, mediocre protection

To be blunt, no matter how you position the plugs and ports on a standard 120V AC outlet, some people will complain too. This assumes your original outlet is installed with the grounding plug down. Fair enough - that's my preference - but there's some argument as to whether this is "code". I personally like this location. However, my "grievance" here is that the energy rating is only 490J. Well, if lightning strikes nearby, nothing will save your belongings. But similar, cheaper strips are rated up to 1800 J; Standard hubs up to 2700. The more the better? If you believe the rest. I have not tested these. I'm not sure how efficient the "splash" LED is. How long does it stay on etc. My guess is that you're not looking at your Wand Hub when you get a power surge. From a construction point of view, I like being able to secure it with a central screw and an additional plastic grounding bolt. I have a few extra wall mounts that don't have it and sometimes turn off the whole fixture. The USB-C socket is good. Oh yes, not for the GFCI. Keep in mind. strength is wise. I'm not sure I even pay attention to it. This thing plugs into the wall so it can power your oven. (And I think I read once that putting too much power into a lithium-ion battery is bad: nice and easy!) I'd say 4 stars given the stingy $22 rating. The rest isn't bad at all.
