Review on Optimized Philips Norelco RQ111 Click-On Styler for Norelco Sensotouch and Arcitec Electric Shavers by Corretta Clark

Summary: Great cutting/styling tool but poor durability and no manufacturer warranty. I originally purchased this light on January 2nd. , 2014. It recently broke after almost 2 years. The problem is that every time I try to use it now the shaver turns off right after starting and the clean head light comes on. I tried cleaning the head as best I could but the problem persisted. I use it with a Philips Norelco 1280X Sensotouch 3D razor. I know the razor isn't the problem because the razor works fine headless or with the standard head that comes with it. I haven't had to change anything on the shaving system since I bought it because the cleaning system works very well. This tool does a good job of cutting and styling facial hair and I'm sure it can be used on any part of the body. I'm taking off 2 stars for durability just because I'm frustrated that I'll have to buy another one in less than 2 years. This seems wasteful and I have informed Philips customer service that they should probably review the quality control of this product. Another issue with the durability of this product is that Philips doesn't give any guarantees on fastening tools, so if it breaks you're basically screwed. I suppose with all the moving parts in this product I understand it may not last forever but I still think 3-5 years might be a more reasonable lifespan for a product. By all means, buy it while you know that this scenario is likely for anyone who uses it.
