This stainless steel popcorn scoop is 7 inches long, 5 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches short. Height is approximately 1 3/4 inches at the tallest point. The shovel has a protective film on the inside that I found difficult to remove. The handle can be placed on either the right or left side depending on the user. The whole device makes a solid impression. The holes in the bottom of the scoop are good for dropping unopened kernels, but to ensure a thorough job, the popcorn needs to be scooped from the top and, once in the scoop, given a little shake. Be careful when handling as some of the edges are a bit sharp. Running a file or dremel around the edges to smooth them out can solve this problem. Visually, it is plain stainless steel, not highly polished. With use, it may show scratches and oily fingerprints. Aside from a few sharp edges, the quality is excellent.
