On Sunday my wife and I tried using these skewers for something else and it all turned out fine in the end. It was not easy to turn the skewers to keep the meat and vegetables from falling off. The skewers are so thin and narrow that if you try to turn the fire, the veggies will slide off. Luckily I have a pair of grill mitts (gloves) and although I almost burned myself I was able to flip these skewers so they cook evenly on both sides. I think skewers should have a handle and a stronger/wider blade that goes through meat and veggies. This blade is very thin and the food just twists or falls into the flame.
