I bought this for my 90 year old mother so I wanted something easy to use. In this respect he is perfect. You don't have to choose between F and C, you don't have to choose an age. There is only one button and that's it. Don't do anything wrong. this part is great. I tested it before giving it to my mother. It never registers the same reading twice, and deviations can be significant. In addition, readings are always below normal, usually in the 97 range. Therefore, it may serve a purpose as a general indicator of fever or no fever. If it reads 98.6, I know I have a fever. I looked at the reviews of all the other competitors and it turns out that they are all like this. So if you're looking for simplicity, this is the best you can find in this price range. I'm sure there are more accurate professional instruments out there, but who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on a thermometer?
