I would not recommend them for a well with sediment. Another brand lasts 3-4 months, this one only lasted 30 days before I saw a noticeable drop in pressure. I'll cut it open after it's dry and see how it looks inside and update it. >> As you can see in the pictures the outer shell is clogged but 1 layer underneath (0.010 inch) is still pretty clean. The membrane is solid. and rigid (almost like plastic - it was difficult to separate the layer). I'm guessing it's not a graded filter membrane but a more stable 5 micron fouling membrane like this one. Good amount of coal. Possibly best suited for city water. The GE filter housing is fine.
