I couldn't live without these things. I've done a lot of research on oregano oil and seen it used to treat everything from athlete's foot to malaria. However, if you google this brand and go to their website, you can get more information. The bottle itself, at least the one I received, doesn't mention that it can be swallowed, but it is. Oregano oil can be taken orally, oregano essential oil SHOULD NOT be ingested and can be harmful. Also when taking oregano oil, less is definitely more, don't over use and do your own research. This particular product is pre-diluted and also contains water, lavender, bay leaf and cloves. It comes in a plastic bottle, I'm sure it's safe, BPA free etc, but I like to pack it in glass, just my own. Preference not only for this product, but for all liquid dietary supplements. I have some awesome 10ml (1/3 oz) blue glass spray bottles, I've collected a few and keep them around the home and in my purse for mom and boyfriend to carry around. Throat almost immediately, two sprays are enough, and recently a cut thumb, which was beginning to look infected, helped. I use it every time I meet someone who is sick or I feel like something is hurting. Recently a woman at work was sick for almost two months, she had to take several rounds of antibiotics and I asked her if she would be willing to try this. I put together a half ounce glass spray for her and had her take two sprays three times a day and in just two days she came to me and said she felt better than she had since she got sick. Illness. Other uses mentioned on the bottle are hand sanitizer and breath freshener (among others), but this stuff has a really pungent smell that I'm not sure will be overly well received by the general public. If you're sick you should definitely use this, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to kiss someone who just used this. Flu season, I know I couldn't get through tax season without him. This 4-ounce bottle should last you (and your family) for at least a year if you're using it medicinally. Not for that long though, if you use it daily as a breath freshener I think you'll quickly find that you're running out of friends.
