I bought an old cast iron hay cart off eBay along with the rail part and hangers. I wanted to turn it into a light to hang over our kitchen counter in our log home. This triple light kit was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted three lanterns and the hemp rope was perfect for the hay wagon. I was a little worried about the length of the wires (could be too much or too little) but everything was perfect. The double plastic "sandwich" threaded clamps allow for the use of different cages or keepers, and I found them perfect for clamping the lid of a mason jar (I used a hole saw to cut a hole in the center of the lid) . I then simply screwed the Mason jars onto the lids to surround the Edison style lightbulbs I bought. The nice thing is that each bulb can be turned on and off with separate switches in case I want to dim the light from the three bright Edison bulbs.
