As stated in another review (at the time of writing) this is a pen shaped conductive pointer. Your computer, phone, tablet, etc. treats it like a more accurate finger. I really wish it had a pressure sensor or button that could be used to erase, but oh well. We have to give credit, this is a really precise pen. I got it to replace my original Active Pen which still works but very sporadically and likes to randomly stop working for no reason. Again, the lack of pressure and erasing is annoying, but I'd rather have a pen that works than one that doesn't.
