When I opened the box I was surprised at how good the leather was. There were no stains or defects on the skin and it smelled very pleasant. like skin. I mention this because some of the "leather" products I've reviewed recently had some pretty horrible smells due to their workmanship or lack thereof, so it was really nice that they were actually good quality leather. The zips open and close easily, although I don't see why a double zip is needed at this size. This is a rather small bag, most of which is in the main compartment. It has 2 small side pockets on each side, with elastic drawstrings on one of the two sides. It would be great for a weekend but probably too small and disorganized for a longer trip. I wish the main compartment was a bit more organized and time will tell how easy it is to stow away when a spill always happens. Overall I really like it and would consider it at its current price of $40.
