Review on SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch Active2 (Aqua Black, R820-44mm) ๐Ÿ“ฑ with Bluetooth, Silicon Strap, and Aluminum Bezel - International by Keisuke Uemura แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

In general, the gadget is very advanced technically and provides support for many different functions, so many people will surely like Active2. Replacing a mechanical bezel (as it was in previous models of the Gear S2 / 3 and Galaxy Watch family) with an electronic one has its pros and cons. Those who are accustomed to mechanics are unlikely to be happy. But whoever has this first such device will get used to it quickly enough. Without a mechanical control ring, the watch has become more compact and smooth, so once again it does not cling to shirt cuffs. Those who are not used to it can always turn off the touch bezel option and use the classic โ€œflippingโ€. In my opinion, Watch Active2 is the best solution for today in terms of quality/price ratio. Elegant design, high-quality software and a wide range of uses make this TIZEN watch an almost uncontested option for owners of Android smartphones (especially Samsung brand). When paired with an iPhone, the functionality will be cut due to the policy of Apple, which does not want to allow competitors into its ecosystem. But who cares about the presence of a round design and enough basic functions, they may well pay attention to this model.

Pros
  • Pretty much everything I need is in this watch. The ability to talk is a big plus, since it is not always convenient to get a smartphone out of a jacket pocket or bag. The presence of Samsung Pay, fast and non-buggy software based on TIZEN OS is also very pleasing. There are quite a lot of applications in the store, not to mention tens of thousands of watch faces. Sports "gadgets" are of little interest, so I do not presume to judge how accurately the consumption / consumption of calories is measured. Here, however, the result depends on the quality and frequency of data entry by the user himself. As for the heart rate monitor, it is very accurate (it was compared with the readings of two stationary devices from different manufacturers) and by default reports if the heart rate exceeds the norm. In the United States, with the spring ate, Gear Active2 will open the possibility of measuring pressure and taking ECG, but in the 2022 it is hardly possible to wait for these options, since local law prohibits such devices from being considered medical devices. So send all questions about this not to Samsung, but to Okhotny Ryad. The battery is surprisingly good for a 40mm version. Without the "always on screen" mode turned on, with Wi-Fi turned off, but with Bluetooth connected and a heart rate measurement every 10 minutes, the watch stretches 2.5 days. During this time, I usually make several calls, receive notifications, go online several times and do some other little things like checking my heart rate, etc. In any case, this is better than the main competitors like the Apple Watch 5 or Wear OS devices (aka the former Android Wear).
Cons
  • Of course, I would like to have a more capacious battery in such a watch, but a miracle has not happened yet and no other alternative solution in a comparable class has such a battery. We will have to come to terms with this and wait for better times, when, finally, there will be a breakthrough in the technologies for the production of electricity storage devices.
