This is the most affordable window pole we have seen to date. I cleaned the windows and suction cups upon installation as others have suggested and they are really stuck in there. My 12 kg cat fits perfectly on it. The photo shows that he just likes to sleep closer to the edge, but there is definitely enough space for him. He also likes to rub his cheek and chew on the wire, but it doesn't look like it's about to break. He never did it himself; I had to use catnip. I find the chemical smell coming from the plastic cap too strong. It's a really sickening smell, so imagine how a cat would feel with its superior sense of smell. ----Update: My cat is using it now. The smell has dissipated significantly but is still there.
