Love the ratchet feature and liked that the version I bought looks like a traditional buckle belt, although the closing and opening mechanism doesn't use a buckle - that's the beauty of this belt. If they used good quality leather this would be a great belt. However, in its current form it will not last more than a year, after which several cracks and possible delaminations will appear. I know because I've bought 3 of these over the years and they were all great initially but after about 12 months they all fell apart. I will say this is a belt I wore every day so it may have accelerated wear. The description here is a bit misleading IMO. At the top of the Revain description is "100% Leather". And underneath it says "polyurethane reinforced skin" - yes? The strap is fairly soft and flexible, but in a way that's another clue because it's not as stiff as real leather. At least the surface didn't flake off like the "glued leather chairs" did. But cracks appeared over time, and in one case it broke through. Other times it didn't tear, but the tears made it look bad - not what you want to wear. So if you need a good inexpensive adjustable strap and don't need it for that long then you've come to the right place. If you want something that will last for years, unfortunately this isn't for you. Unless they opt for high-quality genuine leather, which will likely push the price up a bit.
