Review on Plating Lantern Kerosene Backyard Lighting by Kelly Starr

This is a nice little oil lamp but my base was starting to leak so I returned it. Otherwise, I really liked the workmanship and the design. I found it good that the globe is not as huge as with many other oil lamps. In case anyone thinks it's just crowded or something: it wasn't, I dried the base several times and a few hours later there was a puddle of oil on the table. Nothing to do with this lamp itself, but I've noticed that kerosene stinks in the house. My wife hated it so the next step if it wasn't leaking would be to find a paraffin based lamp oil. I read somewhere that it's just mineral oil, but I don't know if that's true.
