I received this mini pc to replace the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ which I use as a home theater theatre in my living room to do things like stream from Plex and run RetroArch (a retro game emulator). I've been using this Trigkey mini pc for a few weeks now and I really like it. This is a huge improvement over the Raspberry Pi. That's why I say this: Pros -----* Surprisingly fast for everyday tasks like word processing (works seamlessly with Microsoft Office and LibreOffice), surfing the web, listening to music and watching movies on YouTube or view via plex. GREAT WORK!* Flawlessly supports 4K video playback on my TV, making it an incredibly small Home Theater PC (HTPC)*. Comes with a Windows 10 Pro license. It typically costs over $100, making this tiny PC a truly incredible purchase. * Plenty of conveniently located USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports on the front and back of the mini PC. * Network ports operate at full speed of 1 Gbps * Tiny! For comparison, see the image I've attached to this review.* Silence! Makes absolutely no noise.* The wireless network works great and I have a strong signal throughout the house.* You can easily expand the storage by installing a standard 2.5" SATA3 SSD. The SSD bay is ridiculously easy to access, it's a quick no-hassle upgrade.* Well built and assembled.* Small, clean, and professional looking.* Simple, minimal, and eco-friendly packaging.Good job.Cons--- --* CPU a few years old, but surprisingly powerful. ----* A shockingly affordable desktop PC that handles everyday tasks like surfing the web, creating and editing text documents, listening to music and more like an absolute champ. Installing and running RetroArch was an absolute breeze and it worked flawlessly and at full speed with all emulators (Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, original Sony Playstation). * It has two gigabit network ports, so you can use it as a semi-professional router. and Firewall by running a solution like NethServer, OPNsense, PFSense, Untangle or similar. How cool is that?Tips-----* Update Windows as soon as possible after installation. Mine came with Windows 10 20H1, but I was able to upgrade straight to Windows 10 21H1.* Almost all of the components on this tiny PC are made by Intel, so you can use the free Intel Driver Support Assistant (DSA) to keep most of yours Drivers up to date.
