I didn't know that the tag is attached to a nylon loop with just a simple snap. The downside to this design is that the latch is not a secure connection and will disengage, causing the airtag to fall out of the clip. I had a security tag in my pocket multiple times, but the tag came off and fell into my backpack. I ended up gluing the nylon loop together to prevent the latch from coming loose. The airtag housing is secure, the clip is secure, but relying on an easy catch is a design flaw of the product.
