I love these shelves. I needed a storage solution for all my craft supplies so they could be organized. It took me over an hour to assemble, but mostly because of the size. The assembly is not difficult. A small mallet is included in the kit and I recommend using this instead of a hammer. I think a hammer might break the corner plastics during assembly. I even broke a few with a hammer. They include a few extra corner pieces in case you break something. I probably wouldn't use them in my living room, but they were perfect for our finished basement.
