The best portable computer and I'm cool!

This is my 3rd (in 10 years) portable air conditioner: Whynter (gained 5 years lifespan), Honeywell (on the 4th year but sounds a bit like failure might be inevitable). I have had very good experiences with other DeLonghi products, which is why I bought this device. My Situation: 1,100 square foot house divided into small rooms but open 'sunroom' which is my home office - I work full time from my home office. I'm in Northwest Montana, and while it's not as dry as the Southwest, the humidity usually ranges from 20 to 35, not that much - actually perfect for comfort as far as I know. . I like my house 65-68F all year round. I have a northern breed dog that will probably like 55F or less. Even my Norwegian Forest cat prefers cool weather. I've usually gotten along just fine with 1 AC and a few extra fans, plus it usually cools to 50 degrees overnight which allows me to turn everything off from midnight to 1am. All my windows are horizontal sliders. This device - it arrived at 6:34pm and at 7:12pm it was working and that includes 10 minutes of chugging/puffing/cussing at a hose connector that wouldn't stay on the hook. high. In the end I won. It's no better or worse than any other block I've had - the darn connectors don't really "screw on". However, a small piece of tape in strategic places works wonders! The bedroom was 74 to begin with. The outside temperature was 93 degrees. It took an hour to cool down to 70 per thermometer, but I figured I was pretty comfortable in 30 minutes. not THAT uncomfortable to start, but the cool moving air quickly made a difference. I slept well because of the noise - the fan runs on low speed but I'm used to the noise of the AC fan. Air conditioner fan noise is definitely the quietest of all portable devices. I moved the new unit to my living room which opens into my bedroom. Honeywell went to the office solarium. Now 85 outside and 65 inside. I have both devices set to 65. DeLonghi keeps both the living room and adjoining bedroom at 65 with no additional fan. Near future. I think they are budget devices and if I use them for 4-5 years ($100 or less per year) I will be happy.
