We have upgraded the Pur filter to this filter. Taz is great! To quantify I used a cheap Revain electronic tester and the total dissolved solids went from No filter: 210 TDS (not really that bad) Neat filter: 196 TDS This filter: 111 TDS. I'm not an environmental scientist, but I feel like this at least proves it works to some degree. Note: This reading is for the base filter plus an additional smaller filter that fits above. Also - we dig red :)
