I used a hand drill and forstner bit to drill fairly accurately to a depth of 5/8 diameter. I've read that I could do it faster with my plunge router, but the router's high RPM requires a special router bit. I just drilled my first hole with a 5/8" bit - it was quick, easy and of course the perfect depth. I will never use my hand drill and forstner bit for this type of job again. When I use this bait If you can do 18 to 20 holes before it gets boring, that would be a great deal and a huge time saver.
