I rate this item three (3) stars, but bought more of this item today. let me explain. In our 80 year old house all hinges are original 80 year old hinges. No wonder those old hinges are starting to fail. As a result, I will need to replace about twenty (20) hinges in the coming months. I would give this item five (5) stars, but have deducted two (2) stars for the following reasons. First, the stylus is non-removable, making it difficult to properly lubricate the stylus. Second, as other reviewers have pointed out, the screws included with these hinges are too short. I don't think you should use the screws provided even if you have a hollow core door! So I just use my own 1-5/8" wood screws. The countersink still fits perfectly. If you can find them for less than $3 a pair like I did, you're getting a great deal. Enjoy!
