Review on Foozet Spare Tire Mount for Trailer: Heavy-Duty, 120 LBS Capacity, Compatible with 4-6 Lugs Wheels on Various Hole Patterns by Eric Schwalbe

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The mount can't handle highway speed without bending/breaking.

I attached this spare wheel mount to the front of the A-frame on my 5x10ft trailer and bolted the spare wheel on (vertically) as instructed. After ONE freeway ride (at 60-70 mph) the brackets buckled and almost broke completely as shown in the photos and I could have had a freeway accident. The mount may be suitable if you plan to always drive below 80 km/h but do not use it on the motorway at speeds above 100 km/h.

Pros
  • OPTIMIZED DESIGN: 1 - This double nut spare wheel holder prevents you from losing one without fear of losing the wheel on the road. 2 - First attach the leaf spring with the carriage bolt and bracket, then mount the hoops. You can easily install the flare nuts that secure the rod.
Cons
  • I don't remember
