GE Microwave Model JVM3160 (Full Range) - Door switch replacement fits and works great! Definitely recommended (has been in operation for 4 months now - will update as changes occur. Disclaimer! Unless you have the knowledge and/or experience of electrical repair I do not recommend attempting this yourself without thorough research and accuracy in grounding procedures do!If you get this wrong , there is a risk of electrocution !This door switch worked like magic.Our microwave oven was run about 5 times before the power went out completely.The cooking cycle time is more likely than the previous use of the stop/reset button to causing the switch to fail.And these are 2 packs of switches.Note: Most microwave ovens have 2 switches, NO(normally open) and NC(normally closed). need, I bought one each th. I used one and have one on hand in case the other switch fails. The difference in price between buying one or more isn't really an issue. We definitely do everything ourselves, so we made sure to turn off the power in the switch box AND follow the grounding guidelines (to avoid a serious risk of electrocution). Replacing the switch was quick and easy and the microwave works great! Like many people, we use our microwave on a daily basis, so it was SUPER UNCONVENIENT without it. I was considering buying a new microwave which would cost anywhere from $260 to $500 but our microwave was only 3 years old. Instead, I found a used $25 desktop microwave on Facebook Marketplace that I got to use for a while. This gave me time to deliver replacement parts and a convenient time to swap them out. The total savings amounted to hundreds of dollars, not to mention the hassle and time involved in removing and reinstalling a new microwave oven. I use a **temporary microwave in our theater room, it will serve a dual purpose going forward.
