I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the other reviews but was pleasantly surprised to find that it works great! I suspect some of the installation issues are caused by people not reading the instructions. This module is designed to be installed over an existing rack finish, not a replacement. Yes, depending on what sensors you install, you may need to drill or cut the factory fairing, but that's only part of the in-vehicle setup. My AutoMeter sensors had to be modified a bit to fit properly, but this module was designed by GlowShift to fit their sensors. The price is right and it's the only sensor I've found that matches the color of the interior. Others are all just black and cost a lot more. A tip: thread the self-tapping screw through the plastic skirt and into the metal at the top for a much more secure hold.
