Review on 🔥 GE JES1095DMBB Microwave Oven: Compact, Versatile Kitchen Essential for Countertops or Dorm Rooms, 0.9 Cu Ft Capacity, 900 Watts, Sleek Black Design by Mark Hanson

I chose this model for its sleek, minimalist look. I like the light gray keyboard, although it would probably benefit from a decent backlight. Unfortunately, something is wrong with the door mechanism in my unit. The light stays on and I'm not allowed to cook until I slam the door. If I close it gently, the light stays on and it doesn't work. I can also turn off the light without a bang by shaking the top of the door a few times after closing it. I'm debating whether to send it back as defective or settle for this quirk. Another annoyance that might be related to the above is that if I plug something in and wait a bit before running it, when I try to run it I get a "FOOD" message on the screen and is not executed. You have to open and close again. Otherwise the light will stay on again and the message "DOOR" will be displayed. Has anyone else noticed this nonsense?
