I really wanted this mic stand to be perfect and it is VERY close to perfect. Height with my Rode mic, bump and pop filters on. With the minimum setting and the correct microphone position, the microphone is too high. In the highest position the mic starts to tip a bit and loses balance because it's so heavy you have to put the mic upside down, but when it's upside down the mic becomes too short. So the problem is that the stand doesn't go down as low as I would like, but it also doesn't go up as low as I would like when the mic is upside down. I suppose the 'easy' solution would be to get a shorter table and/or a taller chair. Or get a taller table and a shorter chair. But both hurt. I really want this stand to be a few inches lower and/or a few inches higher. I haven't found a better alternative yet, so I guess I'll leave it at that. But I'm not a 100% satisfied customer. There's nothing wrong with the stand itself, it just isn't quite right for me, for my particular mic, and my particular table/chair situation.
