Review on Perky-Pet 1 312 Panorama Small Bird Feeder, Brown, 2 Lbs by Tara Ford

Seems like a good design for birds that are too big for a feeder with short perches like cardinals. We have smaller blue jays here in Central East Florida and they can use this feeder with ease, as can mockingbirds. I got him a bag of sunflower chips, not sure if the seeds and husks would fall out properly. It was well protected with bubble wrap and I knew having had a similar feeder before that the trick is to rotate the top so you get a secure fit when the wire is snug against the top. Even after several violent thunderstorms, I didn't have to take the seeds out of the shell. The blue looks very pretty against the green of the tree I hung it from and the birds spotted it in just a few hours! I'll take a second one to try and lure the birds closer for my elderly mother to watch from her chair in her bedroom.
