There is no excuse for the missing part.
The package arrived on time and in order. The problem was that when you opened it, the base of the clock was missing. I called right away and the man initially sounded like he didn't believe me. Then he had to talk to his boss. He was told they would send me the base in 8-10 business days. I was shocked because they made a mistake and they should send it immediately. The clock was useless without the foundation on which it stood. I got the base in about a week and a half and didn't even apologize for it. I do not recommend ordering from these people.
