Review on ๐Ÿšผ Century Travel On 2-in-1 Compact Playard with Bassinet - Ultimate Convenience for Parents on the Go! by Marvin Breezy

Easy assembly/disassembly

I ordered this Century Travel On LX 2 in 1 for our new grandson. We wanted a portable bassinet that is easy to install and disassemble, easy to use, good quality, and able to grow with baby. So far, Century has ticked all the boxes. I was able to open the playpen intuitively and didn't have to consult the manual until I was ready to attach the carrycot. If I didn't need the bassinet I could have assembled the entire playpen and mattress insert without instructions, although I STRONGLY recommend doing this, especially with baby products. I only did this to see how easy and intuitive it was to assemble the kit for review purposes only. I will NEVER assemble any baby product intended for actual use without being absolutely sure everything has been done correctly. I felt the need to share. The playpen is easy to assemble, although the mattress is difficult to fold back into its original shape to fit in a bag. I've tried folding it so the straps and clasps close properly, but so far I haven't been able to do it, and I feel like I might damage it if I force it closed. Once assembled, the playpen feels solid and secure. The bottom provides good support for both babies and small toddlers. The mattress is not a real mattress, but a foldable hard insert with a soft pillow. It's covered in a waterproof vinyl sleeve and comes with a soft, washable sheet. The mattress feels supportive and comfortable enough for a toddler and firm enough that we're comfortable with its security. This model has a detachable hood with two hanging cuddly toys for baby to beat. The entire set can be assembled in about five minutes or less. To assemble, expand the playpen, latch the sides and ends, then latch the bottom. Insert the mattress alone or with the hanging carrycot. The suspension of the cradle is fixed laterally to the upper guides of the arena. To disassemble, remove the mattress (and bassinet hanger if needed), pull up the cord on the underside of the playpen to unlatch it, unlatch the sides and fold in the handle to fold it. It's very easy to set up and break down. The set includes a tote bag big enough for all items, with a handle that attaches to the mattress and goes through a hole in the bag. The 20lb weight of a full bag and the open handle attached to the mattress make it unlikely we'll ever fly it or travel much outside the home, but it's perfect for our intended use as a carrycot/crib for when in which we do care for the child.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
