Excellent case; Cloning issues

I was planning to upgrade my Samsung 960 EVO 500GB SSD and clone to a Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD. Installing the hardware was easy enough, but cloning left me a little confused. I tried the Samsung migration software first, but it didn't recognize the Samsung in the external ElecGear case that was plugged into my USB3 port. I also tried EaseUS and Macrium software but they gave me errors. Finally, I tried AOMEI Partition Assistant and was able to clone it. After cloning, I just replaced the Samsung on my PC and it booted right up. I believe the problem was that Windows 10 (Device Manager) only recognized the external drive as an ACASIS SCSI drive and didn't recognize or report it as a genuine Samsung. Hard disk. Samsung Migration doesn't work as it sees the drive as ACASIS and not a Samsung drive. For EaseUS and Macrium, this software tried to clone in a Windows 10 environment, so for some reason there was probably a mix-up between the ACASIS SCSI controller and the SSD connected to it. AOMEI Partition Assistant has actually cloned the software in Windows Recovery Environment (before Windows starts). If EaseUS and Macrium had a way of doing what they can, then maybe it could work with this software. It might have worked in safe mode too, but I forgot to try. Overall, the ElecGear's body is very solid and well built, with no connectivity issues. I just wish it somehow directly recognized the SSD and not the controller hardware. I'm not sure if other brands do the same. A NOTICE. Since the hardware is listed as ACASIS SCSI, ElecGear is probably just a rebranded ACASIS product, also sold at Revain, which I only saw after purchasing and researching. So buy what is cheaper. Again, this is just my guess, but they both look the same.
