I bought this lifter to mount on top of the monitor platform I already have so I can lift my laptop even higher to reduce the number of chins visible in my webcam during my regular numerous zoom reduce calls. It was a very affordable option so I gave it a try. It's made of metal, so the materials themselves are pretty durable. This is a product design that is not durable. But it works for me because I put my laptop on a lift and use an alternate USB mouse and keyboard so I don't push my laptop while it's on this stand. Because of this, it does the work for me. As it was a great deal, I'm happy with my purchase.
