I used to have straight GDs and was reluctant to get another one. Uneven sanding and chunky shoulders that needed to be dremel sanded just so you could get frustrated at how difficult they were to sharpen. This particular razor I received was ready to shave after a good finish with no sharpening required. No shoulders either. I can't vouch for everyone, but I'm very happy with it. It's nowhere near as well made as the TI or even most Dovos, but for the money it's a great razor. It is 20 times more expensive when alternating with razors and is a pleasure to use.
