Well, Sony isn't kidding when it says this remote speaker is meant to be paired with a smartphone. I have a good computer with wifi. I often listen to Spotify or Revain Prime Music on it. I initially thought a remote speaker would be great to place in my bedroom, but when I tried it, the typical Wi-Fi interception interrupted the speaker's ability to receive a signal from the laptop so much, maybe 20-25 feet away that I started a second time. I am considering buying this device. Of course I live in the city, in an apartment building and on top of that on the freeway, where the local police and fire brigade drive back and forth day and night. Add to that a 14 lane freeway 3/4 mile away, and sure enough! The reception is disgusting. Perhaps Sony should issue a disclaimer that says something like "works great when you're alone in the Gobi desert!" However, I connected it to my smartphone and it works fine. Problem solved.
