I recommend mechanical keyboards to almost anyone interested in their computing experience, so it's no surprise when I received a request for a "prepared" keyboard. Inquiry? Pink and black keyboard. Oh yes, and free. Hm. After looking at keycap sets I thought the easiest way (on a budget) is to buy a MageGee backlit mechanical gaming keyboard (red switch) and put black caps on some of the keys. It's hard to imagine a cheaper $27 mechanical keyboard. While I'm sure the switches are fake, they look red to me (although I prefer blue switches). The packaging is unfussy, but the build quality feels solid. The only odd things are the occasional patch of yellow plastic on the left side and the logo and indicator lights being on a piece of plastic that doesn't match the rest of the keyboard. Those quirks aside, the keyboard is pretty solid. . MageGee includes a keycap remover, but it's not very good (especially for keys with multiple supports like the spacebar). I have attached photos with and without the black caps. Highly recommended
