Overall a good device. The installation instructions are a bit vague. A few things I learned along the way. The instructions state to hold the device 4.3 inches away from the phone to calibrate. I figured 4.3 inches seemed very accurate and should have some bearing on size. I kept trying to calibrate the device to almost 4.3 inches and couldn't. I finally contacted support and was told I could work beyond 4.3 inches. This made calibration a little easier. A little more pain. I also struggled to capture my swing in the video when setting the device to the recommended 8ft from the ball. Customer service said I can move the device further back without sacrificing accuracy. I've also found that the direction setting doesn't affect the device's distance measurement. It's a little tricky to set the header. Once set up, the device does a great job of collecting data and allowing you to sort it in a variety of ways. Compared to Mevo by Flight Scope. It identifies each swing as a fade, draw, straight, etc. Mevo does not. Rapsodo provides a Google map style image with your range or course and the GPS locations of where you kick the ball. You can clearly see the patterns. Mevo is not. Mevo provides rotation speed and flight altitude. Rapsodo not. Rapsodo software allows you to sort data by columns and track average distance for each club in an easy-to-use interface. Mevo not. Rapsodo only provides a video of you hitting behind the ball. Your phone must be placed on the Rapsodo device. Video playback is limited. There's no slow motion or the ability to overlay video with lines and circles. With Mevo, your phone can be placed anywhere and video playback can be distributed and played in slow motion. The video function is one of Mevo's strengths. However, Mevo saves all videos on your phone as your camera. 6s clips. Rapsodo stores up to 100 clips in its cloud service. For a $100 annual fee, this will store an unlimited number of clips. Overall I think Rapsodo is an excellent device. The only real advantages Mevo offers are the ability to get video from multiple angles, video playback options, and the ability to measure rotation speed (although you'll need to put a small silver sticker on each ball to track rotation speed). The Mevo software is much better. . Not only can you see your distance, but you can also see how you hit the ball, disappear, pull, etc. The ability to see your average club distance is easy to achieve. You can sort all of your stats in a variety of ways, including by week, month, and year. You can sort by distance, club speed, launch angle, etc. While Mevo videos are better, Rapsodo's cloud service is a huge plus. You don't need to download all the videos to your phone. With Mevo you can only track data, no video. We apologize for the cryptic spelling. I'm writing a review from my phone.
