Review on πŸ’¦ Enhance Water Pressure Regulation with ISpring APR40 Pressure Regulator Protection by Rashan Jimenez

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Replace it after 1 or 2 years when clogged with debris.

I bought this 40 psi pressure regulator for use in-line in an iSpring water purification system. Ease of installation. No leaks yet with quick disconnect hose fittings. Unlike my ISpring system, there were no installation instructions. So make sure the ends of the 1/4" hose are cut straight and clean. The hose needs to be inserted 1/2" and seated in the regulator. So I marked 1/2" from the end of the hose with a thin marker measured and marked all the way around the hose. Insert the hose into the regulator until it is snug and you can no longer see the mark. While holding the hose down, pull the retaining clip towards the hose and snap the blue retaining clip on. Hope this helps. Follow up review; Note that you will need to replace it after 1 or 2 years as it becomes clogged with sediment and slows down the water flow or shuts it off completely. I noticed this when doing the Changed the filter for the second time and you have to run the water for a few minutes to clean the system. You will see carbon particles during the blowdown at the beginning and all this clogs the water flow renzer. You can remove the flow restrictor before the flush is complete and reinstall or replace every 1 or 2 years.
