I bought this so I could start making my own protein waffles to freeze and toast for breakfast. It does the job. It doesn't seem to get super hot, so it does take quite a while to make a batch of waffles. They also don't seem to get very crispy, no matter how long you wait, or how much you spray the griddle. This isn't really an issue for me since they get crispy in the toaster anyway, but I know other people might be expecting a crispy waffle right out of the maker
