This product was so hated in the reviews I bought another whey protein powder just in case. The bag itself is stuffed and won't close because of a protein stuck in a plastic cap. So I put it in a container and moved on. There was no strange smell. It smelled very faintly of dried milk. The taste was a bit neutral for me. As others have noted, no measuring spoon is included. Is the serving size listed as 30g or around 2.5-5 teaspoons? I think mileage may vary depending on people's teaspoon. If you want to meet specific macroeconomic goals, you can buy something that comes with a measuring spoon, or invest in a metric kitchen scale if you don't have one. I don't have any so I tried. I mixed about 2 tablespoons with some peanut butter. It just tasted great. Also, like some previous reviewers have described, I did not get sick while using this product. My biggest complaint is that the product came with no clear way to measure the portion size. I assume most people have a scale so overall the product is ok.
