quick and fairly easy

As a LeSabre owner I used to have to replace all four power windows. The piece of plastic that holds the power window cable in the factory windows is junk. Plastic wears out over time and eventually breaks, leaving the buyer with an $800 repair if you go to the dealer. Two different aftermarket window regulators were better than OEM parts. I became able to install them. I was able to remove the door panel, install it and put the car back together in less than an hour. If this is your first, I'd take two hours to dig around. I would use tape or plastic clips to hold the window up when removing the old regulator and inserting the new one. Take your time with a long screwdriver or pry bar to slowly pry out any door clips, don't force them off. These clips can break easily. After installing the new regulator, turn on the motor until it holds your glass. Release the cup and tighten the nuts holding the cup. I think someone posted an installation guide on youtube but I can't remember. The only thing that might improve the situation is if Dorman installed replaceable door latches to make the trim work like the car was new. I made sure they didn't break so it wasn't a problem. As for the passenger, I had to buy it from a body shop to finish the assembly. The product is strong, much stronger than the cheap ones I got from Malaysia last time.
