Couldn't get it to work - Updated

I'm not sure if it's a bad item or a bad port on my computer, but it didn't work for me. Updated - This product is working properly. Turns out there's a known issue where some Surface pros don't want to recognize the device when using an adapter. It works with some things but not all, and it seems to be device dependent rather than port specific.
