The cover works for what I bought it for keeping the sun out of my interior. However, the plastic clip broke on the first day of use. The next day another one broke. Then the elastic band holding the plastic hook detaches from the case. I had to replace all the hooks with metal hooks. I have a safety pin holding the strap to the lid. So, for what I spent on it, I think it will last more than a day. This will keep the car cooler in the driveway. I have no shade and I live in Texas.
